Again, sorry for the long introduction, unfortunately wala pa din sack session sa part na ito.
So as the story continues…
We had a great talk while waiting for her classmates, dun ko na din na-verify yung ibang info about sa kanya. Totoo nga na anak sya ng congressman and bodyguards nga yung kasama nya palagi, she is also the youngest of 3 siblings, sya na lang din ang nag-aaral. Currently daw she stays in Paranaque pero sometimes sa QC sya umuuwi.
I was filled with excitement each day na dadating, this is when I started to hate weekends talaga. Each day we get to be together kahit sandali lang nagiging close kami sa isa’t-isa. We take lunch together at times, snacks as well, nagkaroon tuloy ako ng kasama sa cafeteria kapag walang ginagawa (most of the time kasi I spend my time sa caf kapag vacant, kahit mag-isa lang ako OK lang, tambay lang, bahala na kung may dadating na kakilala). Dumating din yung time na nakilala ko yung mga bodyguards nya, although intimidating ang dating mababait naman pala, sila Mang Jun at Kuya Joey.
Every freaking day hindi pwedeng hindi kami magkakasama ni Pamela, minsan hinahanap ko sya, minsan naman sya ang naghahanap na sa akin. Lahat na yata na topics na pwedeng pagusapan na pagusapan na namin. There are times na tutulungan ko sya sa school stuff nya or sasamahan sa mall or sa kung saan nya gustong pumunta. In short alalay nya ako!
After some time, after getting to know her, I’ve gathered all my courage na talaga and told her na she’s really the one I like, baka kasi maunahan pa, mahirap na, sayang naman!
Ethan: Pam, I want to tell you something. Importante. Pero wag kang magagalit ha?
Pamela: Anu yun?
Ethan: Well, I hope hindi ka magagalit kasi baka sabihin inaabuso ko naman yung friendship natin…
Pamela: Ay naku! Sabihin na kasi!
Ethan: Well, I’m sure alam mo na din to’ pero sige sasabihin ko na din…
Pamela: ……….
Ethan: I know we are good friends and all, pero… it’s… it’s you that I like Pam. I adore you.
Pamela: ……….
Ethan: Ayoko masira yung friendship natin pero I can’t help it, it’s you that I like so much, and you’re the one I want to be my girlfriend…
(Long silence)
Pamela: To’ naman! Yun lang pala e, pero ang bilis naman nun? Girlfriend kaagad?
Ethan: ???
Pamela: Di ko alam kung alam mo… pero… i have some thing to say din total naman nagsabi ka ng ganyan edi ako na din… I like you din… though I dont know if we feel the same way, basta, I know i like you, you’ve been so good to me talaga all this time and i really appreciate it…
Ethan: Hahahah!!! Talaga lang ha!?
Pamela: Oo nga! Ang kulit mo naman e, pero sa ngayon kasi hindi ko alam kung anu isasagot sayo, although alam ko na gusto din kita i think we should still alot some time muna on this, ni hindi ka nga nanligaw tapos girlfriend kaagad!?
Ethan: Uso pa ba yun ngayon? Pero if that’s what you want, OK lang sakin, kahit siguro matagal OK lang kasi ikaw naman talaga ang gusto ko, wala ng iba.
Pamela: Asus! Pero sige, tingnan natin, pero sana we can maintain pa din yung friendship natin kasi I really like yung samahan natin…
Ethan: Yun lang pala e, hindi na kailangan sabihin pa yun!
After the conversation we both laughed and moved on as if nothing happened.
Days passed, nagsimula na talaga akong formal na manligaw kay Pamela, although matagal ko na syang tini-treat na parang princess kasi special naman talaga sya, parang ngayon e mas naging extra special pa lalo ang treatment ko sa kanya, I want to show her that I’m really serious with what i said and am willing to court her kahit matagal. Merong mga asungot na umaasa pa pero hindi ko na lang pinapansin.
Kung dati sa school lang kami nagkikita, now if time permits susunduin ko pa sya sa bahay nila sa PQ then sabay papasok, kahit na ba sabihin na hinahantid kami ng bodyguards nya. Kung dati sa school lang kami naguusap ngayon paguwi namin super telebabad pa kami na at times e umaabot pa gang madaling araw. Sometimes I even cook for her and bring it sa school then we share. We spend the whole time together at school and yet I can never really get enough of her.
Christmas came and so is the holiday vacation, nalungkot ako kasi nalaman ko na their family is going to spend Xmas in New York and babalik sila after new year pa. Nalungkot ako na hindi ko sya makakasama this holiday season, so before they left we decided na to give each other our gifts, I got her something special and i was happy that she loved it. Ang inisip ko na lang that time kailangan ko magconcentrate para sa next year kasi her birthday was January 14 and I have to make this memorable and special for her.
The holidays went so fast that I barely noticed, I was glued to my plans kasi. 2005 came and they returned, god was I so happy to see her again!
January 14. Day of days, absent ako! Sadya yon! Days before inalam ko talaga kung anung sched nya, from what time to what time sya nasa school, anung subjects etc. Also, 1 week before nasabi ko na din sa kanya may important matter akong aasikasuhin that day, so baka evening na kami magkita, fortunately kumagat naman sya.
As the day comes closer my anticipation grows stronger, what I had planned was a halfday na parang activity/treasure hunt. Kinausap ko ibang classmates ni Pamela, pati si Glyza for this, i also included some of my friends and classmates para maging mas masaya, kinunchaba ko na din mga bodyguards nya at katulong sa bahay.
My plan was to give her a card saying happy bday with a message and a reason why I adore her, ang catch dito is iba’t ibang tao ang magbibigay sa kanya ng card starting 9am hanggang 3pm with a 30min interval per card given, also nakalagay sa card kung saan sya dapat pumwesto or pumunta para maibigay sa kanya yung kasunod na card (ito ang gamble kasi baka hindi nya sundin). So all in all 12 cards yun, hindi ko din alam kung anu naisip ko nun pero ni-wish ko na lang na sana maging successful. I’m pretty sure na some of the persons that gave her the card is not her acquaintance, which I actually planned naman. She kept calling me and texting me but I never answered nor replied, nagtext lang ako sa kanya after mabigay yung 230pm card asking if she was having fun. Also, nilagay ko din sa 3pm card na after nya yun matanggap she should head na towards her car and Mang Jun and Kuya Joey will do the rest. For my final surprise i had asked the maid sa bahay nila in PQ (i actually asked Pamela kung sa PQ ba sya magstay or hindi kasi mababago yung plans if ever na hindi) to help me decorate the room with flowers, I also placed my gift sa bed nya with some more flowers and a bunch of sweets. Hehehehe…
As I hear the car drive-in from the gate I quickly went in and tried to finish all the decorations, hindi pa kasi tapos, ang hirap pala nun, kulang sa oras. She caught me while I was fininshing up sa isang side ng room, she was awestruck (i think) from what I did and stood in the doorway speechless. Ako naman, slowly walked towards her with a smile on my face, when I was about 1 foot away na lang I said my greetings and asked her how her day was. To my surprise she jumped towards me knocking me down on the floor, she continuosly muttered; thank you, thank you! Until I dont know how long. We were on the floor for quite some time din.
Ethan: Huy! Tayo na, aba! Hindi ka maagan no!
Pamela: Thank you talaga, Ethan!
Ethan: To naman o, yun lang e, sayang nga kulang yung time ko, mas maganda sana original plan ko e
Pamela: Anu ka ba? Ang cute nga e, saka bakit mo naman naisip to?
Ethan: Hahahah!!! I really don’t know, basta pumasok lang sa isip ko e
Then we were silent, I looked at her and smiled.
Ethan: Come on, lets get up na, masakit na likod ko e
Pamela: Ay sorry, I was carried away, ikaw pa lang kasi naka-surprise sakin ng ganito e
Ethan: Ewan ko, basta alam ko naisip ko lang din to e
Pamela: Ang cute naman ng ginawa nyo dito, teka pano mo pala nagawa yung mga kanina?
Ethan: Ah eh, edi kinausap ko lang sila, walang suhol yun ha!
Pamela: O bakit ka galit? Tinatanong ko lang naman ah, pero thank you talaga ha
Ethan: Ok lang yun, saka tama na yung kaka-thank you, cheesy na masyado baka matunaw na ako nyan sa sobrang hiya sayo
We both laughed at what I said.
She started walking towards the flower arrangements that we made and started inspecting them, meanwhile, i remained standing on one side of the room and carefully watched as Pamela walked across the room. After gleefully unwrapping my gift for her she walked towards me, I stared at her, smiled and hugged her tight. After some time she pulled away, looked me straight in the eye and surprised me…
