a drop of tear, a feather touch
to ask for more they know is much
but though they crave to test their luck
tis their own fear they dare not mock.
a silent vow this couple made
let all else fail, but love they laid
for though the world know them as friends
their hearts are one, entwined til end.
but ever shy of other’s taunts
these friends chose not reveal their haunts
a nurtured love, of purest kind
until that day their hearts rescind.
for though their love will meet no end
there is a wound they cannot mend.
although unseen it’s scar is deep
it cleaved them forth, with none to keep.
so now they look unto the moon
regret in heart, they missed the tune
for if we turn, our fears will bring
no heart to hold, no song to sing.

we often say that we learn from experience. yes we do, but we learn the most from fear. it teaches us who we are, that we are weak and vulnerable, which we are. but fear also shows us who we can be, if we just challenge its trial. it will leave scars, but these scars are merits, proof that we paased through it and, though wounded, we came out stronger than who we were before. never run away from your fears. confront it, and behind it you will see what was always there, waiting for you to step up, your strength, your courage.
